How to build mobile widgets

Think Vitamin has a good introduction to mobile widgets.

A mobile widget is a web app built using your standard web technology such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript. What makes it great is that you don’t need to create or know any Java or other languages. Widgets can currently run on Nokia S60 phones and on the iPhone in the safari web browser.
