Persona

Persona is an interesting new desktop application that can help develop characters. It’s aimed at writers who are working on character driven stories but I can see how this would be extremely useful when defining target users for apps. You could easily use their base archetypes to create compelling and detailed psychological profiles for potential users, listing their motivations and behaviours.
