Some things I've learnt about programming

John Graham-Cumming has some good tips about some things he’s learnt about programming:

  1. Honesty is the best policy
  2. Simplify, simplify, simplify
  3. Debuggers are sometimes a crutch, profilers are not
  4. Code duplication will bite you
  5. Be promiscuous with languages.
  6. It’s easier to grow software than build it
